A Rock Solid Christmas

Prepare to be wowed!

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City always goes big when it comes to its holiday displays. In the past, the casino’s culinary team has shown its skills with some amazing, creative art using everything from candy gumdrops to gingerbread.

This year’s holiday display may be the Hard Rock’s most impressive yet. Titled “A Rock Solid Christmas,” the entirely edible art display can be seen in the hotel lobby – right near the tall escalators – and stops everyone who walks by in their tracks, most choosing to take pictures of the fantastic creation.

A Rock Solid Christmas is from the Willy Wonka-like mind of Executive Pastry Chef Thaddeus R. Dubois. The former White House Pastry Chef and his culinary time have re-created the giant sunburst guitar that greets guests when they arrive at the Hard Rock with a 7-foot replica surrounded by Christmas and musical elements that are truly impressive.

Comprised of 2,000 pounds of white and dark chocolate, the edible art encompasses 91 square feet and dramatically displays that a combination of hard work, hundreds of hours of devotion that started in September and imagination can really pay dividends for all to enjoy.

The final masterpiece is 13 feet tall and 7 feet wide and features Christmas trees, ornaments, musical drums, violins, trumpets, musical notes and a play on the word “Rock,” symbolizing the strength in the casino’s name.

After months of hard word, this Christmas showpiece is ready for everyone to admire. Make sure you check it out when you visit the Hard Rock this holiday season.
