Atlantic City, NJ (May 10, 2023) – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City today announced the appointment of Mark Vanderwielen as Vice President of Hotel Operations.  Mark will oversee multiple areas including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Environmental Services, Facilities and the Rock Spa & Salon.

 

A native of Belgium, Vanderwielen is a hotel and gaming industry veteran who most recently was General Manager of three hotels in San Francisco operated by the Viceroy Hotel Group.  Prior to that position, he spent 13 years as the Vice President of Hotel and Property Operations at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Atlantic City.

Throughout his distinguished career, Vanderwielen also worked in various positions with Hilton and Kimpton Hotels.  He has worked in both London and New York. 

 

He holds dual citizenship in the United States and Belgium and has a residence in both Galloway, NJ, and London, England.  He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter and traveling internationally.  He is a supporter of St. Baldrick’s Cancer Research Foundation in Monrovia, CA, and the South Jersey Field of Dreams in Absecon, NJ.
