David Spero

David Spero is the Executive Chef of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, managing culinary operations at the popular entertainment destination for over two years. In his role, Chef Spero oversees operations of over 15 dining outlets including the iconic Hard Rock Cafe, the Italian restaurant Il Mulino, the Japanese restaurant Kuro, Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Fresh Harvest Buffet, Fish & Co., Sandpiper, and more. With over 20 years of experience in a variety of luxury hotels and five-star restaurants, Chef Spero showcases his passion and expertise in Atlantic City’s notable culinary scene.

Chef Spero graduated from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona with an A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts. From there, he worked as a Sous Chef and Banquet Chef in several top hotels and resorts across the US from Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey and Florida. He eventually worked his way up to Executive Chef at Tableau Restaurant at The Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada where he managed the bustling kitchen of the five-star, five-diamond casino resort restaurant.

From there, Chef Spero served as Chef de Cuisine of Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. During his time there, he was awarded Manager of the Quarter. He later moved on to the J.W. Marriott, Grande Lakes Orlando where he was the Executive Sous Chef and was awarded Manager of the Quarter for a second time.

Most recently, Chef Spero was the Executive Chef of Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel in Alberta, Canada before making his way to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in 2018.
