Meet The Chefs: Shingo Inoue | Hard Rock Hotel Atlantic City

Shingo Inoue

Born in Osaka Japan, Chef Inoue holds more than 40 years of experience at some of the best Sushi restaurants around the world including Australia, Hawaii, California, and Florida. He has been with Hard Rock Atlantic City since its opening in 2018. Chef Inoue loves to travel and became a sushi chef in part because it would allow him to see the world. 

His dedication to the craft is evident as he takes great pride in training and teaching younger chefs. Chef Inoue loves to get creative at the sushi bar exploring unique flavor combinations. His style is inspired by French cuisine and he considers James Beard award-winning Chef Michael Schwartz, whom he worked with in Miami, as his other culinary inspiration.

Chef Inoue is a retired surfer who lives in Atlantic City and enjoys reading in his spare time.



Kuro boasts a tempting menu of Japanese specialties. Ingredients are locally sourced or imported directly from Japan, and the menu perfectly balances the flavors of the Far East.
