Perhaps the city’s most iconic attraction, the Atlantic City Boardwalk dates all the way back to 1870 and was first built to help hotel owners keep sand out of their lobbies. Now it’s lined with concession stands, attractions, and some of the city’s most famous landmarks, like Boardwalk Hall and a row of iconic casinos. Hard Rock Atlantic City just so happens to be the only hotel with direct access.
Steel Pier is another piece of old AC, originally built in 1898. Over the years it’s hosted big-name concerts, including Frank Sinatra and Diana Ross, and offered fun games and thrilling rides. The most recent addition was a giant Ferris wheel in 2017, which offers spectacular views of the coast.
